Point Reyes....
Marin Independent Journal, March 1, 2008 - by Beth Ashley
The late Pulitzer-winning novelist and environmental guru Wallace Stegner spent much of his 84 years campaigning for limited development of western lands and preservation of the nation's wilderness.
Residents of Point Reyes Station think he'd be tickled pink with their town. They see their tiny hamlet (population 818), next door to the Point Reyes National Seashore, as a fitting site for this week's three-day conference on Stegner and his writings.
